Scenario:

machine S running as a sql server
machine A running as a client

machine S can connect to its database using SQL Auth just fine
machine A using SQL Auth and same username/password gets failed login when trying to connect to S

both SQL Server and SQL Browser services running on S
protocols enabled on S = Shared Memory, Named Pipes, and TCP/IP
Username being used for login is set to db owner on S

Anyone have any ideas?
