| Hello Experts, I am connecting to the SQL server as a client.I am executing few jobs.I do not have the Permission to the Windows server on which SQL server is installed.Just having the permissions to the SQL Server.How can I get the SQL Agent Service Account through Management Studio?I don't have the permissions to see the MMC.Thanks!Raju |

| Not sure what you want to do. Find out what the account is?==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

| What can you do?It sounds like you can only run queries and start jobs?Can you create jobs? Can you run xp_cmdshell?==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

| Does xp_cmdshell run under the sql server service account? You will probably find you can do whatever you wish if it does using osql.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

| xp_cmdshell is running under the sql service account.i am not sure what account the agent runs.I donno how to find out what account the agent runs using the osql or T-SQL.Thanks a lot for your quick response.Thanks!Raju |

| Thanks..Finally I asked the System Administrator to get the SQL Agent Service Account.Still I would like to know how to find out through Management Studio or OSQL..If any one knows how to do that,That would be great.Thanks!Raju |
