On two servers running at 8.00.818, I have the following issue. I go to create a maintenace plan and select to backup the database. When I try to select "Remove files older than:", the second box is blank (the one that usually holds days, weeks, months, ect.). Well, if I continue and create the maintenance plan without it, it does create the job successfully. If I look at the backup tab for the maintenance plan, it has removed the job schedule. However, the job itself has a schedule and runs successfully. So, my basic issue is I cannot set my backups to expire through the maintenance plan wizard. Has anyone encountered this before? |

I've encountered it, but only with MSDE. I didn't find a cure, although I think I may have copied a plan from a full-fat version of SQL, with success, but that was ages ago and I'm not 100% sureKristen |
