Have a read in books online at the entry for "SET NOCOUNT".
That explains it pretty well, ask back if you have any other questions.

1. Use QA
2. ctrl+T
3. SET NOCOUNT ON
4. execute any query
5. SET NOCOUNT OFF
6. execute the same query
7. Compare the o/p
