I have a sql server 2000 database on my server with following settingServer name KamiServer and IP range: 202.144.180.180 - 202.144.180.190 The SQL login (read-only access) is: Kamran and the password is: ShahidWhen I try to caonnect it through Sql server management studio I got Following error Testing the registered server failed. Verify the server name, login credentials, and database, and then click Test again.------------------------------ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - No such host is known.) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 11001)I can connect to other local server on my lan |

ip range? what's the ip address of the sql server you are trying to connect to? verify the connection information in your surface configurationis the browser on?--------------------keeping it simple... |
