| We are planning to migrate from sql server 2000 to 2005 version.could you please tell us are there any problems associated with the migration.Are there any tools available to migrate from 2000 to 2005.Please help.we have stored procedures, lot of tables and triggers and also few sql agent jobs.And using asp.net as front end to interact with DB.Thank you very much for the information. |

| There are a few differences with respect to the resilution of identifiers (aliases mainly) and a few other oddities.Mostly they will show up as errors rather than invalid results so that's not so much of a problem.There are differences in the optimiser so you might have to address performance issues.You may have to look at the server configuration as v2005 is a lot more restrictive by default.Just go ahead and test it.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
