I am trying to update an MS access database from ASP.NET. I am using IIS on Windows XP Pro. I want insert from ASP.NET using ADO.NET but I cannot seem to be able to carry out INSERT statements. Here is the error
which I am getting:

Operation must use an updateable query.

Exception Details: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException:

Line 67: cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();

Probably best you supply the INSERT statement that's causing the problem......

You must have read/write permissions to the access-file to be able to do inserts/updates/deletes. Go to IIS management, locate the access-file, right-click it and make sure that both read and write are checked.
