I need to grant permissions to a developer so that she will be able to view and execute all jobs owned by a sysadmin login. But, I don't want to grant her sysadmin role. Are there any ways to do this so she can view and run the jobs not owned by her?

Thanks,
Ben

Blin,

Your question makes no sense. It's like "I want to let you drive my car, but I don't want to give you the keys."

If you trust this developer enough to view and execute a sysadmin login's jobs, why can't you trust her enough to grant her a sysadmin role?

Ken,

Do you mean there is no other way but granting her sysadmin role?

Yes. But you should not have any concern about doing that... As I said, if you trust her enough to exec sysadmin jobs, you should trust her enough to make her a sysadmin. If you don't trust her enough, she shouldn't be viewing/running sysadmin jobs.

Quite simple, really. :-)

Ken,

This was not a "trust" issue. It was a technicl issue. I granted her TargetServersRole and it worked. I didn't have to make her a sysadmin.

Thanks for your input.
