does anyone know how to do this, its :

GRANT EXECUTE ...

for 2005 but for 2000?

Same thing for 2000. Here's an example:

GRANT EXEC ON SomeProc TO SomeUser

sorry i just found i asked the questions incorrectly what i want is to create execute permission on all sp's... for example

i use this in 2005:

exec sp_msforeachdb 'if ''?'' <> ''master'' and ''?'' <> ''model'' and ''?'' <> ''msdb'' and ''?'' <> ''tempdb'' begin USE ? GRANT EXECUTE TO sp_executor end'

and it works fine but not 2000

You haven't specified the SP on which you want to grant permission.

GRANT EXECUTE ON proc1 TO sp_executor
