It is OK...
In sql server 2000 you can't run both backups at the same time...
Even if you start full backup will block tlog backup...
Where as in 2005 I think tlog can be completed while full is running...

Checkdb can run during full backup too..

It would be better to run the TLog backup just before the Full backup IMO (e.g. schedule the Full Backup for 5 minutes later)

Reason being: if you have to restore from Full plus Tlog the smaller your Tlog is the less work SQL Server has to do. So if you back up TLog just AFTER Full then there is a whole extra hour's redundant data in the TLog backup that Restore has to work through.

Its a small point, of course, but IME Restore is a time-critical task and every little helps.

It is better to backup the transaction log more often than once per hour. I recommend at least every 15 minutes.

There is no problem with running them at the same time. At worst, the transaction log backup will just wait until the full backup completes.

Jung,

I don't see any problem with your schedule...
As Michael mentioned you can change the tlog frequency but it depends on your company's policy... If your company can efford to loose 1 hour data incase of disaster it should be fine or you may need to reduce the frequency...

Seems like I'm banging the same drum here ... but I can't think of circumstances where it is acceptable to lose 1 hours data when TLog backups could be set up to run every 10 minutes and only lose 10 minutes data ... perhaps someone can enlighten me pls?
