| I have a couple databases running on our server and never had any problems before but now every time i attempt to add a new user the entire system will freeze and not recover until a reboot. any ideas as to causes would be appreciated since i do NOT want to do a full reinstall |

| Have you checked if anything is being blocked using sp_who or sp_who2? Do you know what command is being run to create the user? When you say the entire system freezes, do you just mean Enterprise Manager or Query Analyzer? Or something else?Please explain in greater detail so that we can assist.Tara Kizer |
