| Guys, Just got a question, since PAE is required for more then 4G from the OS, but then if I have 2 instances of SQL Ent, and they both use 4G for example (the OS have 12G), since its not more then 4G per instance of SQL Ent, I don't really need to have AWE on right? but then I found out that if its not on, it can only get up to 1.7G of memory rather then 4G which is set. Is that AWE is needed when OS memory actually beyond 4G rather then just per instance is more then 4G? |
