I am not sure if this is the correct forum but here it goes.

I came into work this morning and rebooted my development machine only to find that I could no longer connect to any of the Db servers on the network. I can go to another machine and connect from there so I think that something is corrupt in my Enterprise Manager.

I tried to upgrade, thinking that it would install the drivers again but it did not.

How can I fix this without reinstalling client again?

I am using SQL Server 2000.

Check whether you can access those machines by PINGing them. You may have network problem on your machine.

A connection could not be established to SERVER.
Reason: Data sources name not found an not default driver specified.

Please verify SQL Server is running and check your SQL Server registration properties (by right-clicking on the SERVER node) and try again.

It happens sometimes, unfortenately.
The only remedy is to add the servers again in the EM.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled MS SQL Server 2000 client tools but I still can not access any of the servers.

Any other thoughts?

try right click a server group and click new sql server registration and try re-register your unaccessible servers .
