Hi,anyone have used WANSync XoSoft software for SQL Server as 3rd party software for disaster recovery?What is your opinion about this software? Is it reliable solution?SqlZagi |

I'm using it for years, is reliable. Only feature I asked for is failover witness. |

What about SQL Server 2005 database mirroring? it runs with witness as well? Can you compare Xosoft WANsync and database mirroring feature, pros and cons?thnx,SqlZagi |

Xosoft can modify dns during failover so you don't need do anything in client site. Xosoft syncs db at disk block level not transaction level therefore no performance hit in sql, there is no impact when target server is not available. |
