| Hi friends,We are developing a portal. In which we have search. I am using freetext and freetexttable with union for multitable search. I am getting the desired results. But execution time is long and the perfomance is very poor.Even I tried like '%%' predicate.The execution time is very fast. But could not check for multiple tables. Can u suggest some ideas. I am breaking my head for past one month.Thanks and Regards |

| What you are doing is giving maximum flexibility to your users at maximum performance cost to you. 2 choices - invest in better hardware or change strategy (maybe offering limited keyword searching only...avoiding "freetext" and "like" altogether). |
