My manager is about to buy two new processes for our existing SQL Server which has two already.

If and when he puts them in.....Do i have to tell SQL to use them all in a setting, is it a matter of just going into the properties of SQL and i will see all the four of them. Will SQL know that they are there and use.

Thanks....

If you changed the setting from the default, then yes you would need to change things. Check out sp_configure or right click on the server in EM, click properties, check out Processors.
