Hi,

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me here. I'd like to get a copy of SQL Server 2005 but don't know which version i should get whether workgroup or developer or professional one.

This is what i'd like to be able to do. I've got a server running on SBS 2003 and currently doesn't have SQL Server installed on it. I'd like to install one onto it as a backend database. Users on the network can design a new database or access to the existing ones and perform data entry through a VB application, not the web application.

So my question is which sql server 2005 should i get and would VB Studio .Net allow me to write an application as well as producing reports like the ones from Access 2003?

Thank you in advance

rmiao

You can't use developer edition for production, and express is free. Which edition to install depends on what kind of features you need, take look at 'Features Supported by the Editions of SQL Server 2005' in books online.
