| I am getting the Unable to open the physical file "E:\Navision SqlData\ForentaSQL_Data.mdf". Operating system error 5: "5(Access is denied.)". when I try to "attach" or do a CREATE DATABASE command to a database located on an external hd. The database files on the external HD were copied from the original server location to the external HD. The file size is 51G+ which is why it is on the external HD.How can I get past this error? |

I assume you are using NTFS since the file is 51GB.What are the permission settings on the folder?

| i have the folder shared, permissions Everyone is Full control. Access still denied. |
