I just signed up so I am new. I am having so many problems downloading a trial version of MS Office 07. I finally got the file downloaded but it will not install because it says setup failed to install ms sql server 05 express and it directed me to a file that my computer says does not exist which is C:ProgramFiles\MicrosoftSQLServer\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Summary.txtI am lost as MS techs will not supply support for Trial Version and HP support can't tell what MS really needs from me. Can anyone help? |

I notice the path is C:ProgramFiles, is this a typo or is that what is in the error? If so, there is your problem. Future guru in the making. |

That is how the message appears when the download is unable to complete. It tells me to look at C:. I copied it from the error so I really don't know. |

Right, so the problem seems to be that you have typed the path incorrectly at some point. Or, does it ACTUALLY say c:\ in the error and you are omitting it in the post? Is there any point in the install process that it asks you for an installation path? If so, ensure that you type in a valid one, following that if you still get the error please respond with the exact error and point of occurrence in the install process. Future guru in the making. |
