hi all,

Sorry this question may sound silly to anyone of you, but I just wondering:

One of my databases is having 3 data files, and I notice that the sizes of these 3 data files are quite unevenly distributed. the mdf one is around 35%-40% larger than the second data file, whereas third data file is also 20-25% larger than the second data file. What could have result it? Does anyone know?

The difference is due to the objects that you have placed in the files.

Are they in same file group? By the way, all system objects are in .mdf file.
