Hi,

What do you guys tell your application vendors that insist on using an account with sysadmin rights for their app?

well if management bought it there's not much you can do...

But it is a common scenario for you too though, right? The majority of sql server documentation advise against giving out sysadmin rights, and yet there are loads of apps that insist on it.

let me put it this way:
i haven't seen an app yet that doesn't require admin tights rights.
