I am new to this site. I am facing problem while taking backup.
I am trying to take backup through Enterprise manager to a particular folder. This error msg pops.

Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState: 42000)
---------------------------
Cannot open backup device 'C:\demo'. Device error or device off-line. See the SQL Server error log for more details.
BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

check thats valid path and service account has permission to access it

If C:\Demo is a folder, then you need to specify a file name (usually something.bak).

Where is 'C:\demo'? On sql server or your pc?
