Im trying to install SQL Server 2000 and 2005 on my XP SP2 laptop. If I can do so, which versions(i.e. standard, express, desktop, etc) are compatible ?

Thank you

on xp you can have express and developer.
side by side is no problem.

Since it is XP, standard & enterprise edition is not possible.
You can have SQL 2000 developer & 2005 developer side by side.

You can run any SQL Server version or edition you want if you run as a virtual machine under Virtual Server, and you have the resources needed on your laptop.

It supports Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 or later for non-production use.
