i am going to reinstall mysql can u success me where should i install my ldf and mdf
my server is win-datacenter 2000 ,
have

c:\ (server software)
d:(both are on same disk of 80 GB)
E:\(700 GB NEW disk)
Should i have put ldf on different(large) location ?
please success me

Ideally , it's best to have the MDF and LDF separated on different disks with different disk controllers. Normally , I have E:/ for data F:/for log files G: for tempdb .
