how to insert data from 1 database table to another database tables

If both databases on same server:

Insert into db1.dbo.table1(col1, col2..)
select col1, col2,... from db2.dbo.table1

i got one another solution
select * into dbase1.dbo.table2 from dbase2.dbo.table2

I have one another quetion if SERVER is not same
then .......

In that case, you need to add the server in question as Linked Server.
