Hi AllI feel I've completed the installation of 2005 Reporting Services with a remove database following these notes ... http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143703.aspx... now I want to confirm its working. There is a link in the notes to "Verify a Report Services Installation" ...http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143703.aspx... where step-2 sais to "check the Report Server Service is running".I've checked both front-end and back-end servers and cannot find this service.any advise pleaseRichard101 |

Yes indeed, on the front-end server (where I installed Reporting services) I look at "Report Services Configuration" and and see six green ticks (followed by a blue, a gray, and 2 yellows (very-pretty)).I mmostly winged it setting up this eg: the database-setup wouldnt work untill I'd configured the virtual-directory etc. I chose defaults where I could. Except the 'database setup' where i had to name the remote-backend cluster.(i did notice that entering a prescribed URL on this box didn't work) |
