I am running an application with backend(Database) is MS SQL Server 2000. My problem is: The database size increases automaticaly in high size. today my database size is 8 gb. while actually it is max 2.5 gb only. Can anyone pls tell me what it can be wrong with that... Please give me solution for this problem....Thanks for your help.Vimal |

Check growth rate in database properties- files? We set to 512 MB not 10-20%? |

Please even check the Log file of the database.It might have grown unexpectedly.May need to shrink it. |

Try doing transactional log backup frequently to control log growth. |

U can monitor the growth of the file with the profiler. |
