Hi,

This is a sumple question, Please help I am trying to figure out how to give a user alter stored procedure permission,one user has exec permission,but they want permission to alter it. I know how to do it in sql server 2005 but not in 2000.

for 2000 (and I believe 2005) to alter a procedure the user needs to be one of the following:
sysadmin - fixed server role
ddladmin - db role
dbo -db role

Be One with the Optimizer
