I am new to this forum, and hope to one day be able to help others as you have helped me.My question is with over 100 users what is best?Sql Server + sql client per user + calorSql Server 2 CPU license + calI just want to be sure that the 2CPU (socket) license will allow for unlimited number of users.Andre |

| Follow up question. If I have 4 Windows 2003 server, and 100 users, I only need 100 Windows Call Right? even if one of the servers will be SQL, one ASP, and one Storage.Andre |

| That's correct. But 100 cals may cost more than processor license for 4 servers. |

| The CPU socket based licensing will allow unlimitd users , but you need to think about whether you can define the amount of users who will be using the sql server. If you can't define the amount of users , then you have to buy a CPU based licensing .
