Hello,

as part of my university project am supposed to design a database and connect to it a transaction system.

- When adding the transaction system, do i need to alter any of my current tables?

- what is the best shopping cart to go with my MS access tables?

- are there any cheap/free shopping carts?

I would appreciate ur advice and comments regarding this.

Many thanks

Try a Google search for "shopping cart software" and see what comes up. There is no "best" software in this regard, it depends entirely on what your system is supposed to do, you're the only one that can determine if one product is better suited than another.

Also take a look at some ASP sites for examples of shopping cart code:

www.4guysfromrolla.com
www.15seonds.com
www.aspalliance.com
www.asp101.com
www.asptoday.com

Since you didn't post any of your table structures, there's no way to know if you have to modify them or not.

In the future please post MS Access-related questions in the MS Access forum.
