Is there any to have a Like statement in the select subquery?. For example

"Select Task from table where task like (select t1 from discipline)"

Also anyways to introduce the % before and after the retrieving values.

do you mean this

select m.Task
from table m
inner join discipline t
on m.task like '%'+t.t1+'%'
