The MS Access "text" datatype is equivalent to varchar, and it's always been limited to 255 characters. The "memo" type in Access is equivalent to SQL Server's text data type, which allows for up to 2GB worth of text.Oracle's varchar2 datatype is limited to 4000 bytes, if you need to store more use LONG data columns. |
