From time to time I see people mentioning Access data projects. Does anyone have a good reference source for information on building one of these? Prefer on-line but I'll buy a good book if one is out there. Thanks |

Best books available in my opinion are the Access Developers Handbooks (Litwin, Getz, Gilbert). The 2nd book (Enterprise Edition!!!) covers ADP's in details - tips on writing effective client/server applications. Its pretty pricey, but I bet you can pick up a second hand copy from somewhere. For more details see:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0782123716/qid=1028199194/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/104-0842586-4516742macka. |

You can also find help in the Access help file, search for adp or access data project. To create an adp, open access, choose the "access database wizards, pages and projects" when starting access. Click the General tab and choose either to create a new SQL Server database along with your adp project, or connect to an existing SQL Server database.======Doug G====== |
