Greetings!

I have been trying to setup the ability to debug my procs ect through visual studio 2005. however I right click on the sprocs and I have no "debug" option.

I started reading this http://www.sqlteam.com/article/debugging-stored-procedures-in-visual-studio-2005

Went through the Microsoft website to setup debugging, but I had previously followed these steps.

I'm using
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Version 8.0.50727.762 (SP.050727-7600)
Microsoft .NET Framework
Version 2.0.50727 SP1

Installed Edition: IDE Standard

Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Premier Partner Edition - ENU Service Pack 1 (KB926601)

SQL Server Analysis Services
Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services Designer
Version 9.00.1399.00

SQL Server Integration Services
Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services Designer
Version 9.00.1399.00

SQL Server Reporting Services
Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Designers
Version 9.00.1399.00

Only certain editions of Visual studio allow you to debug SQL Server Stored procedures(NOT SQL EXPRESS). Referance Microsoft to ensure your version of visual studio allows for this.

I did, according to what I was reading VS 2005 Partner Edition does all of it, and this is also running on 2005 SQL server standard.

It doesn't according to this article, it's a severely scaled down version of Visual Studio.

You will need to install SQL Express to debug a procedure, or buy Visual Studio Professional Edition or >.
