I am using SQL 2000 and have dropped a number of large tables from my database. Is there any good practice i should adopt following the deletions?(e.g. The *.mdf and *.log files do not appear to have changed size - should i do anything with them?)Any advice will be much appreciated. |

Leave as is, unless there is an urgent need to reclaim physical disk space. E 12°55'05.25"N 56°04'39.16" |

The backside with shrinking the files, are that later (when you need more space again) the files might get [more] fragmented. E 12°55'05.25"N 56°04'39.16" |
