Hello,
we have a list of number and emails in a database.

We also run a .net script that sends our messages to the phone numbers and emails separately, based on batches and subscriptions.
(in csv format)

QUESTION:
Whats the maximum length of a string that can be SAFELY be returned in a return value to the calling .net page ? from MS SQL server

ie

abc@yahoo.com,zxy@hotmail.com .... etc is an example
0121321321,0924254254 ..... is another example

thanks

According to BOL, the maximum "Bytes per row" should not exceed 8060 bytes.

Depends.

If the return string is an NVARCHAR it will take up 2 bytes per character.

I believe there are also 2 bytes reserved for overhead.
