| I have a crazy question hopefully someone has had to do this before. I have to read in multiple files from multiple vendors. I would like to know who sent what, when and how many recs by storing the filename (which has a date stamp). Is there a way in SQL Server to store the filename as the files are read? Not sure if anyone has faced this problem before and if so what they did about it. I told you it was a crazy question. Any input is welcome. Thanks much,Trudye |

| Thanks visakh16 for responding. I wish I knew enough .Net to accomplish the task. Maybe I'll play around with .Net and see what I come up with. Thanx again,Trudye |
