| You said SQL 2000. Hence the solution was for SQL 2000.For 2005 you can either use the same query, replacing sysprocesses with master..sysprocesses, or you can use this:select count(*) from sys.dm_exec_connections--Gail ShawSQL Server MVP |

| I've said how to see how many connections are currently open to SQL. Is that what you're after or does it not help you? If it doesn't help, why?What do you mean by "and it is clossing or not"? If you're trying to see if a connection is going to close, there's no way for SQL to tell that. It can't know what the application is going to do.--Gail ShawSQL Server MVP |
