Hi all,

If I have columns in a table containing comma delimited tags, is SQL (MS Access) capable of determining the changes between them?

For instance if columnA contains A1,A2,A3,A4 and columnB contains A1,A3,A4,A5 does SQL contain the capability to determine that A2 is missing and A5 has been added?

If it cannot do this, what is the best alternative?

Any help or guidance offered is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Generally you should split the comma delimited tags in to a one:many relationship.

Hi George

How does that work? I understand a one:many relationship but am not sure of the implementation of what you are describing!!

Any help or guidance offered is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
