my application was working fine with sql 2000.
recently i upgraded my sql server to 2005 and i am getting the following error "Requested operation requires
an OLE DB Session object, which is not supported by the current provider."

any help....

By default SQL 2005 does have TCP/IP disabled along with Named pipes

It is likly your application is trying to use one of these to connect..

START>Programs>Microsoft SQL Server 2005 > COnfiguration TOols>Sql Server Configuration Manager.

Expand the "SQL Native Client Configuration" and Enable the protocals you will be using to connect.

i was not aware of that sql 2005 passwords are case sensitive.
was getting login failed.
