When running the xp_cmdshell I am getting an error
"The network path was not found."

This works fine from a query window, but does not work from a SQL Server Agent Job.

SQL Server is configured to run as the domain administrator (which has access to the folder it is trying to access).

I ran a whoami /all to confirm that the job is actually running as the administrator.

This is driving my crazy.

Any clues? I've been all over the net looking for answers.

Thanks

I'm not certain but...
I think that if a non-admin account launches the job, then any xp_cmdshell calls will not run as the sql server service account but rather will run under the xp_cmdshell_proxy_account. Even if the job owner is a sysadmin.
