| I'm new to Analysis Services and building Cubes. I installed the SQL Server 2008 DW sample database on an instance of SQL Server. I then used BIDS to connect to that data source and was successful in creating a Cube. I'm now trying to deploy that cube but receive an error such as "Cube Partions' not valid or cannot be opened".I have Analysis Services, Integration Services, and Reporting Service installed. I'm thinking that maybe I should have created the database on the Analysis Services instance instead of just a SQL Server instance? Anyone who has any idea's or insight on how to solve this problem I appreciate the help?Thanks,Sean |

| hi, If you want to create a cube in sql server analysis service you first have to create a database with the same name as the database you used in the datasource .After creating that database in the analysis service try to deploy the cube.you will get it done.If you have any queries mail me at chozhanvijay@gmail.comRegardsVijay |
