Good morning all,I have just re-installed SQL Server 2005 all all associated components(SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, etc) on my Vista Business machine. If I know anything at this point, it is I am an "expert" in SQL 2005 installation! LOLOkay, the software is installed, and IIS has been activated properly. I type "http://localhost/reports" in IE, and the Report Manager Web Interface comes up correctly, except there should be a folder showing called "New". This is according to the MS Press TK 70-445, page 36, practice exercise , step 2.Furthermore, the instructions also indicate that a "New Data Source" button should also be visible.Note that in a prior installation sometime ago I was able to get this operating correctly, and setup a data source, etc.Any suggestions, help, pointers will be highly appreciated.Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish. |

My issue seems to be solved. Found the solution on one of the msdn forums. I needed to run IE "as administrator", by right clicking on the IE icon and selecting "run as administrator".Thanks for anyone who has read this...Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish. |
