| Hi All,I am the newbie here.I just wonder if the SQL server express edition can be installed on the machine which does not have the administrator permission or not? My PC join to the domain. My IT person installed the SQL Server express edition under his admin username and password during the installation. However, after login to my account then it seems does not work at all. I found only the Configuration Tool in my start menu.Could you please advise? I am sorry for any inconvenience within this question.Best Regards,SANLEN |

| Yes,when you install SQL Server. Choose to install the server option and not the configuration tools. |
