Hi everyone:) I've just installed sql server for the first time and i don't know how to get or make my details to connect to the server. I didn't see anything regarding the setup of a log in during installation. I'm using vista, any help would be greatly appreciated:)

What tools are you using?
What do you need to connect to SQL Server for?
Are you sure you need to connect to SQL Server?
What are you trying to do on SQL Server?

All i want to do is make my own database. My assignment is to make a database from a given erd diagram. When i open 2005 i get prompted with a log in saying server name etc and no matter. For 1 i don't kn ow the server name, i don't think i have a server? I tried closing the log in and going straight to doing my assignment but the prompt continually comesu p saying i need to conncet to a server.
