I have asp.net installed and sql server 2008 installed .
I installed the sql SMSE which it says it is for 2005 sql server so is the a problem for 2008 sql server?


i want to connect to asp.net and i can do so with my other pc with sql server 2005.

How do i create a database from sql SMSE because i have not set up a login to create a database .I need to My problem is I cant login into the sql SMSE to do anything.



i need this working quickly and is it better to get 2005 sql server? my laptop has no internet connection (my desktop does)so again it seems difficult.

no error i just forgot what to do to set connect to msme.
I have no options installed.

I have sql 2008 and msme on same machine

installing sql server ex i goto install and then a browse folder to install media pops up?

this doesnt seem right , what do i do?

all fixed i installed 2005 sql server ex, and 2008 was a bad idea to install in a hurry

When you say you have asp.net installed, what do you mean ? The .net framework or visual studio. and when you say you dont have an internet connection, what do you mean ? You are posting in this forum ?

With visual studio, add a database connection in the connection panel on the top right hand corner, in between the solutions panel
