| Can someone tell me why SQL Server 2005 is on my computer? I don't know what it is or even what it is used for? Can I delete it or is it used in conjunction with another program.SQL was downloaded on my computer through MS automatic updates.Thanks in advance for your assistance.Brian. |

| nope sql server wont be downloaded by automatic updates. Its seems like somebody else has instaled it. SQL Server is a db engine which you can use for creating databases to store data. Is it your personal computer or official pc? |

| It is personal computer but I use it for work also. I am connected through our Citrix server though.It does not say what vesion that it is.It just says: Microsoft SQL Server 2005.When I open it I have the following options:Config ToolsConfig MgrSQL server error & usage reportingSurface area configThanks.Brian |
