 how to know which isolation level is there

Dear All,
i've read in an article that several isolation levels we can use to avoid dead locks, and we can improve the performance also. please let me know how to know which isolation level is there in my database?

which one is the best for production server and which is the best for reports server....

please guide me here

you can check your isolation level by DBCC USEROPTIONS, but by default it would be READ COMMITTED

usually the read committed is enough. but it really depends on what your business requirements are.
there is no one correct prod isolation level.
