hi,

does sql 2000 or sql 2005 supports a time function which would do something like:


wait for 20 seconds, 
then

use adventureworks
go
select top 100 * from purchase.products

i have a solution with loop, i just wanted to ask if there is any built-in function?

Sure

WAITFOR DELAY
or
WAITFOR TIME

Books Online will give you full details of both.
