 problem with DB-SQL 2000

we have a lot problems with DB,like:

1.in the weekend we have "running-DTS" ,that pull data for one year (usually we pull for 2 month) ,bur recently it take a 24 Hours to complete it. in usually it take 12 hours.

2.some cubes will stuck,(in process but not finish) it happend not every day.

how can i check the DB?

1)Check for locking/blocking.
2)Load will be slow if you have more indexes.

Blocking- Run sp_who2 active and blocked by column or activity monitor

Lock- sp_lock or sys.dm....tran_lock (DMV).
